Snow foam

This is a pre-wash treatment and requires a snow foam lance. The lance agitates the foam so that when you spray it onto the car, it clings to it. Just leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it away. What this does is remove the bulk of the dirt before you start shampooing. Removing it in this way vastly reduces the risk of the micro-scratches that can occur when particles of dirt are rubbed over the paintwork during contact cleaning. Some Snow foam such as the Pro-Kleen pH-neutral Snow Foam also contains a healthy dose of wax so will help to further protect your paintwork and leave an unbeatable shine.

Chassis cleaning

Did you know that one of the greatest risks to the condition of cars during winter driving is salt erosion? That’s when salt from roads (applied during winter to prevent them from becoming icy) is splashed onto cars where it then oxidises and erodes the paintwork. It’s simple enough to deal with; it can just be washed away. However, the area affected the most is underneath the car where it’s closest to the road, and that’s a tricky area to get to. Unless you have a chassis cleaner attachment for your pressure washer, that is. This attachment is a rail on wheels with vertical jets. You simply roll it under the car and the jets wash underneath where you can’t access it.
