A hot tub is a great place to relax and unwind on an evening. You probably know there are a few things you need to do to take care of your hot tub, and luckily Pro-Kleen stocks a range of products to help you do just that.
Hot Tub, Pool and Spa Filter Cleaner
Cleaning your filter regularly ensures a clean, safe hot tub experience Your hot tub’s filter is what catches dirt, grease, and other impurities and helps keep your hot tub water clean and hygienic. Over time, all this dirt will collect inside your filter and will need to be cleaned out or it can lead to your filter becoming clogged or blocked entirely. This can reduce the hygiene and effectiveness of your hot tub and even damage the tub if it gets bad enough, so use some filter cleaner to clean it out. Our filter cleaner cleans out the filter cartridge that’s inside your hot tub filter overnight by breaking down the grime, grease, and other impurities that collect in it. As your filter is one of the most important parts of your hot tub, Hot Tub, Pool & Spa Filter Cleaner is essential for hot tub maintenance.
Instant Hot Tub and Spa Filter Cleaner
Instant Hot Tub and Spa Filter Cleaner If you need your filter cleaning up fast, consider this instant filter-cleaning spray. Simply remove your filter cartridge from your jacuzzi, remove any large debris (like twigs) from the filter, and spray the cleaner on. After 15-30 minutes, you can rinse the cartridge down and then pop it right back in as soon as it’s dry. There’s no need to dilute the solution down, you simply spray it right out of the bottle, making it by far the fastest option available for cleaning your hot tub’s filter.
Hot Tub Spa Clarifier
Get clear spa water with Spa Clarifier There are some particles of dirt that are too small to be picked up by your filter. These can slip through into your tub water and leave it looking a bit cloudy. If you use your hot tubs as part of a business, this can make them look unappealing and unhygienic to customers. Adding two capfuls of Hot Tub Spa Clarifier into your water on a weekly basis causes these tiny particles of dirt to bind together, meaning they’ll be easily picked up by your filter. This leaves your hot tub water crystal clear!
Hot Tub and Spa Anti Foam
Hot Tub and Spa Anti-Foam In this day and age, most people wear at least one form of cosmetic or hygiene product, whether it’s deodorant, hair gel, fake tan, makeup, or something else. All of this stuff will wash off in a hot tub and cause your hot tub water to foam up. Even if you make an effort to rinse it all off yourself before getting in, soap residues from the last wash may still be clinging to your swimwear, ready to foam up in the hot tub’s bubbly water. To prevent this from happening, use some Anti Foam in your hot tub. This solution will circulate around your system and suppress any foam that might be foaming, leaving you with a clean and clear hot tub that doesn’t turn into a foam party!
Hot Tub & Whirlpool Complete System Flush
Flush your complete system regularly to keep your hot tub working at peak performance Over time, all the dirt and bacteria will build up around the inside of your whole hot tub system. As bacteria begins to form, it produces a sticky black coating that causes more dirt to stick to it, potentially clogging up parts of your hot tub with an unhygienic black ooze. To prevent this, use some Complete System Flush at every water change to completely clean these harmful bacteria out of your system. It’s a powerful anti-bacterial solution that sterilises the inside of your hot tub system, removing sticky bacterial blockages and making your hot tub more hygienic and more efficient.
Hot Tub and Spa Scale Stop
Get rid of limescale to ensure you always have a relaxing time in your hot tub Another thing that’ll build up in your hot tub’s pipes is limescale. This is a particular problem in hard water areas, but eventually, it’ll build up in soft water areas too. Due to the high water temperatures in a hot tub, this limescale will build up much quicker than it does in other appliances. Scale Stop will power through your pipes and break down limescale after just one use. Make sure to use Scale Stop once a week to keep your hot tub free of potentially damaging limescale and to help keep your water clear!
Sodium Bisulphate pH Reducer and Soda Ash pH Increaser
pH testing kits are cheap and easy ways to monitor your hot tub water One of the things that encourage limescale to form is the pH of your hot tub water. pH is how we measure acidity – a lower pH is more acidic, whereas a higher pH is more alkaline. This is important as going too far either way is bad for your hot tub; too acidic, and you can corrode your hot tub’s surface. Too alkaline, and you’ll encourage limescale. Ideally, your water’s pH levels should be neutral – between 7.2 and 7.6 pH. Different parts of the country have slightly different acidity levels, and you can test yours using a cheap pH testing kit. It’s important to regulate the acidity of your water to keep your hot tub working efficiently, so if it’s too high or too low you can add some sodium bisulphate to reduce it or some soda ash to increase it.
Hot Tub and Spa Chlorine Granules
Stablisied Chlorine Granules Most people know that chlorine is used to kill bacteria in swimming pools, and they have the same effect in hot tubs. Simply add some chlorine granules into your hot tub water and wait for them to dissolve to kill any harmful bacteria that might be lurking in your hot tub water. Many people associate chlorine with the eye-stinging irritation and chemical smell that they get from swimming pools, but that’s actually nothing to do with chlorine. These things are caused by people urinating in the pool water as their bodily fluids react with the chlorine and create a chemical called chloramine, which is the thing that caused the smell and eye-burning. As long as you’re all being hygienic in your hot tub, you won’t even notice the chlorine is in there.
Hot Tub and Spa Surface Cleaner
Hot Tub and Spa Surface Cleaner Even if the interior of your hot tub is spotless, you’ll still end up with the occasional mark on its surface. Whether it’s a spot of dirt or a smudge of fake tan, you’ll need something that can clean them off while killing off bacteria on the surface of your hot tub. Be wary of just using everyday cleaner, which could unbalance the pH of your water and potentially have a corrosive effect on the internal workings of your jacuzzi. Our Hot Tub and Spa Surface Cleaner is specially formulated to clean and sterilise the surface of your hot tub while having no effect on the rest of your system. It’s tough on bacteria, but easy on your hot tub and can be used when the tub is full or empty (although for best results we recommend you use it when the tub is empty).
Hot Tub, Spa and Whirlpool Cleaner
Get the most out of your whirlpool bath by making sure the whirlpool system is cleaned out regularly If your bath or hot tub has a whirlpool system, you’ll eventually need to give that a clean out too. Whirlpool systems are complex mazes of pipes and jets that can be difficult to clean. If you leave them too long, they’ll gradually accumulate grime and scum, eventually becoming clogged and kicking out a foul odour into the bargain. You can flush this whirlpool system clean out with some Hot Tub, Spa and Whirlpool Cleaner. It can be used in whirlpool systems with and without an internal cleaning system, and doing so every 2-3 months or so will dramatically increase the lifespan of your spa!
