Submersible pumps are designed to sit inside a body of water to pump it away and move it somewhere else. This model is one of the best and has a range of applications. It’s a dirty water pump so not only is it good for emptying a pool or hot tub, it can equally be used for draining floodwater or sewage in a cellar or garden, or for emptying a pond. Debris such as leaves, stones, or twigs come with the territory with this type of water but that’s no issue for this pump as it can cope with particles of up to 35mm.
Equally, deep water is no challenge as it can be submerged in depths up to 7m and is IPX8 waterproof rated.
What is it made from?
This model is fabricated from premium materials inside and out. The pump mechanism is all copper – the best material for water pumps due to its high resistance to rust and corrosion. With the volumes of water passing through it, this will ensure that it will last for many years without compromising its performance.
The seals in the unit are ceramic, rather than rubber. Again, this is to ensure improved performance and reliability. It’s what allows it to cope with particles in the water without degrading.
The outer housing is equally high spec; encased in stainless steel. This makes it extremely robust when in use or when being transported. It also improves the aesthetic appearance of the unit, which you may not think really matters with such an item, but it does create a really professional image if used commercially (with performance to match).
How much water can it move?
This is where it really sets itself apart from other models as its huge flow rate of 18,000 litres per hour means it can make light work of substantial bodies of water due to its 1.1KW motor.

Buy NowIs it safe?
Absolutely. It has a float switch which means it will only run when fully submerged (great for leaving on as a precaution in spaces that are prone to flooding, such as a basement) and will cut out when the water level drops below 35mm so no risk of it running dry. Of course, the premium materials and IPX8 waterproof rating mean that it won't leak and can even be used in water up to 35°C.
How much is it?
You would expect a pump of this spec to be very expensive, would you not? Actually, at just £59.99 it’s extremely affordable, especially when you consider how long it’s likely to last.
