Easy to Use

- Apply Black Spot Destroyer directly onto the lichen using a pump sprayer or a watering can. Use it neat.
- Leave on the affected surface for 2-4 hours. It will start to fizz as it works – don’t worry, this is normal! Keep pets and young children away from the area during this time.
- Rinse the area thoroughly and leave to dry.
- Once dry, it’s safe to allow pets and children back onto the area as normal.
Use with care near grass and plants as it will kill plant life. Do not use near ponds as it is dangerous to aquatic life.
Contains sodium hypochlorite.
Do not use this product in warm weather/high temperatures.
Please note the product is not suitable for use on wood, decking, resin driveways or tarmac.

Great product, but want to apply to some slabs that are adjacent to some artificial grass. To limit chance of solution making contact with the artificial grass can it be applied with a brush as opposed to the high pressure spray ?
It can be applied with a watering can or brush. Rinse away from your artificial grass or block the area.

Can this be used in solar panels
No, this is not suitable for solar panels.
Is there a recommended temperature for using this product ? I have had stuff in the past that dries before it can do anything
This can be applied if the patio is damp. Please avoid applying when the temperature is below zero or when the ground is frozen, This can be applied in winter, autumn or spring but not in high summer when temperatures are higher. So below around 22c do not apply in the hottest part of the day.
Is it safe to use on Bamboo fencing?
No, this would not be suitable for use on bamboo fencing.
Is the product plant safe, or will run off damage surrounding planted areas.
Yes, it will damage plants or grass around the treated area. So be extra careful and rinse away or rinse very well after treatment.
Do you need to shake the bottle before use?
No, just use straight from the bottle, no need to shake before use.

Yes, this can be used on limestone. If using on marble please rinse it off do not leave it on. Be extra careful if it is sealed or coated and test a small inconspicuous area first.

No, please do not mix with water it will not give the same results if water is added it will weaken the solution. It must be used neat with no additional water.
Is a Karcher pressure washer too strong? Mine has a nozzle and tube to put in cleaning product containers.
We would recommend applying with a watering can or pump sprayer your pressure washer may be too powerful. Please wear protective clothing.

If your patio is sealed well and you use it with extra caution and rinse away from the mature tree or any grassed area.

The manufacturer advises it was not tested on a painted wall so please test a small inconspicuous area first. It contains sodium hypochlorite.

My patio runs of onto my lawn all around my Indian Sandstone, Obviously when applying I can spray and try and avoid contact with the grass but obviously when I wash the Pro-Kleen Ultimat Black spot destroyer off after the time period this will run onto my lawn would this kill the grass or as it is being diluted when washing off it will not kill the grass. I have seen a similar product more expensive that states that it can be washed off onto lawns and plants with no reaction.
Yes, this will damage the grass and plants around your paved area so be extra careful with application & with the run off. Rinse the grass area well to dilute the solution further so no damage or discolouration is caused.

Yes, you can repeat the treatment and also agitate stubborn areas with a brush. For better application, it is better if the patio is dry not wet.
I have used the black spot remover 2 years ago, the spots have returned. Can this be prevented or does the removal have to be a regular event?

If not rinsed it would leave an alkaline residue and you would need to keep pets and children off the treated area. You would not be walk or drive on the treated area until it is rinsed

Store in a cool, well ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed. Keep away from direct sunlight. Store upright.
Do you need to use a pressure washer to clean it off or just a hose? My patio leads onto the grass, how much water do you need to use to clean the product off without damaging the grass?
Yes, it may damage or discolour your grass so be really careful when rinsing the treated area. We would advise using a hose over a pressure washer on areas near your grass to avoid any splashing. Rinse well with clean water so no residue is left to cause any damage.

I have just applied ultimate blackspot remover to my indian stone patio and it looks much better BUT there are still quite a few black spots left on the more heavily infested areas. Should i give them another coating the following day to try to rid them ??
